Leading Edge
Not sure what you want to do next year? Exploring options in discipleship programs or gap year programs? Tyndale's Leading Edge program gives you a taste of what university is like while deepening your relationship with Christ and developing your Christ centered servant leadership skills.
Develop as a Leader
In the Leading Edge program, you will venture into Toronto, one of the world's most multicultural cities, and serve in a variety of ways. You are given the opportunity to take the lead in running church services throughout the Greater Toronto Area, as well as work with Urban Promise Toronto. At the end of the year, you will head to Camden, New Jersey to work with Urban Promise for a one-week missions trip. These various opportunities help train you to become a leader in your community and become a Christ centered servant leader.
Earn University Credits
In Tyndale's Leading Edge program, you will take courses in English, History, Philosophy, and Biblical Studies, along with your Leading Edge-specific classes, to give you a well-rounded, informed Christian worldview. These courses can be transferred to other schools as transfer credits or if you decide to stay at Tyndale, they will be counted as your first year in either the BA or BRE programs.
Be Part of an Intimate Community
The Leading Edge program is designed to build community. It is cohort-based, which means that you and your fellow leading edge students are together for all of your classes while studying alongside other students at Tyndale. There are two courses that are designed specifically for you: Who is Jesus? and Worship and Christian Spirituality. Outside of the classroom, you will have the opportunity to go out on various trips planned specifically for your Leading Edge class.
