Roy Matheson

Roy Matheson is a highly regarded professor, pastor, author, and mentor. His long and distinguished service to Tyndale has left a lasting mark on the school and on the students who have studied under him.

Dr. Matheson attended the London Bible Institute (Tyndale), graduating in 1958 with a Bachelor of Theology. He continued his education at Dallas Theological Seminary and graduated with a ThM in 1962 and a ThD in 1965. From 1964-70, Dr. Matheson taught at Southeastern Bible College in Birmingham, Alabama and was Dean of Faculty for three of those years.

In 1970, he returned to Canada to teach at Ontario Bible College (Tyndale) and served as Academic Dean from 1973-76. When the Seminary was formed in 1976, he became its first Academic Dean. Dr. Matheson was made Professor Emeritus in 2001.
